Happy Last First Day of School

Baby is excited! Spring exams are just over and Summer session is upon him. Daddy's last first day of school is today! We never thought this day would come back in 2010 when we were mere infants, but here it is :)
We are all excited about the countdown beginning but we also are aware this is still school time and Daddy has lots of work to do.
Once all the work is done we will have a party! We helped mom make cupcakes to celebrate the end of Spring Exams...that was fun. We are guessing the end of school will be even more fun!!!!

Good luck daddy! We love you!

Good Luck Daddy

We are really excited that this is your FINAL Spring Semester and it is coming to an end! Exam one is today and while we are so happy and excited for you....these 'Buddy's' of mine (aka. Ants) are really cool!

So since we don't really understand the things you are studying, even though you try as read us things from your books, we will go back to what e know and understand...."buddy's"!

We love you daddy and we can't wait to see you and give you big hugs and kisses (as long as your beard doesn't hurt) :)

And We Are Off

Maybe without the copious amount of cleaning facing me each day ill be able to blog a little more this week. Much has happened this month and since Tali was born and I'd like to catch up on it.

So while I'm away from the house for a little while I'll keep my phone or iPad nearby for blogging. We will catch up soon

Run Out Of Room

I'm not sure we need another choo choo wagon but I did have to talk Alex out of her wagon so Tali could ride. Sorry Alex!

We Didn't Bike

We went to Sweet Frog, but we didn't bike there.

Living The Hard Life

She acts as though she's got such a head job being a baby...

I Drew That!

My happy little girl and her happy face :)

Sisterly Love

Alex especially can't get enough of Tali! It is so sweet and wonderful. Alex holds her so lovingly and carefully. Kaylee likes to hold Tali and makes it known if she doesn't get to have as much time with her as Alex. And Liliana wants to be like her sisters and love on Tali too- we allow lily to 'hold' Tali and in general she does a great job. We are still perfecting "gentle hands".

We Had A Baby!

Our sweet little girl was born:
Natalia Wren
February 19th
2:23 pm
6 pounds
19.5 inches

As many know we were expecting her arrival on February 28th but sweet girls had a plan of her own. At my 34 week appointment I had a scheduled sonogram just as a standard procedure. During that appointment the sonographer noticed Natalia's head was a little small. So after talking to my doctor I was placed in the 'high risk' category, and my doctor told me to be ready for her at any time...well that appointment went differently than planned.
So what does 'high risk' mean? Well in my case, take it easy and come in each week for a sonogram to check for growth, vitals, and fluid check.
To be continued

Logic

I have been talking to the girls about trying to quit the thumb sucking. They are almost 3 and I'd like to not worry about this 'issue' later. So as an incentive I said they could get their finger nails painted once they quit. (They love when Banpa paints their toes)
Alex tells me, "I don't want to stop sucking my fum"
And I reply, "awe that is too bad. I was hoping you'd want your fingernails painted."
Queue 2 year old logic and scheming..."I do! Gam-pa can paint this one, and this one, and this one, and this one! He does not have to paint my fum so I can suck on that!"

Well, she pointed to each finger Gampa could paint...well done Alex, well done. It isn't going to get your nails painted but it was a heck of a try :)

Just like her momma :)

I'm Coming Back

I've been gone-enjoying my naps when the girls enjoy theirs but I'm planning on posting more and more- there is much to catch up on and much that will happen in the next months!

#4 is set to arrive just a short month from now!!!

Mr. Sun

Kaylee's morning routine- talk about Mr. Sun coming up and it 'getting early'.
Post nap routine- 'it's getting darker and darker momma. That means we go to bed soon. It's dark outside and we need to go to bed.'

Making Dinnn-ner

No matter what time of the day the girls make their animals/babies/toys/sister dinner. Today the girls were making dinner at 8am. They were working so well together and even included the little one in the 'making' of the food. But Lily better stay clear of actual feeding time! Kaylee does not mess around with people bothering her animals during dinner :) we all have our pet peeves. I guess this is one of Kaylees many.

The Trees!!!!???

My "conversation" with kaylee this morning...
Kaylee: momma! Momma! I can't see the trees!!! I can't see the trees momma!

I had to explain what fog was to my girl. She was quite concerned that the trees had gone away. I had to chuckle a little because she was really concerned, poor girl! But once I expalined the gist of fog she seemed satisfied and went slog with her day :)

Good Luck, Daddy!

Daddy did a lot of studying this weekend for his exam today, but we had so much fun with him while he was taking a break! We spent ALL Saturday with him and it was so great! And on Sunday after church mom and dad did lots of chores around the house and they seemed pretty happy about it. One thing they did was add a cool new calendar in our kitchen. They say it is to help us know what is going on, but our favorite part of it is the bottom line "where is daddy?". Daddy uses this space to tell us if he is at work or school :)
We are so proud of you daddy! Your last fall semester is coming to an end and we couldn't be more excited for you and us! You may not know why but we love you so much and can't wait to hug you!
Xoxo- your girls

Too Early For Potty Training?

Someone wants to be just like her big sisters. There is no doubt that she has strong desire to be like A & K but I didn't know it extended this far.

Lily stole her sisters undies ran around with them with a giant smile on her face like she had just won a gold medal. After her victory lap she brought me the undies (i was sitting on the kitchen floor) and played keep away until she sat down in front of me held the undies in the air and then placed them on her foot and looked at me like "aren't you going to do something about this? They are supposed to go on me."
And sure enough I put them on and as I was about to pull them over her rush she stood up so I could pull the on all the way. She admired the undies (that which she could...she did just eat and she had quite the little belly on her) and gave me a giant smile and ran to play. Happy, happy, undie wearing child.

She is currently sleeping with footsie pjs on and a pair of undies on top.

Ok! Let's Do This!

A phrase you never want to hear your 2.5 year old saying!

I overheard the girls plotting something over the monitor, mostly jibber jabber but clear as a bell I hear Kaylee say, "Ok! let's do this!" followed by a giant boom and laughter.

I snuck upstairs to catch them in the act, whatever the act may have been, and I find them in their room jumping off their beds happily and then immediately doing a forward roll. I couldn't help but just smile and watch from the partially open door. I was very happy to find them doing a slightly crazy stunt like jumping into forward rolls....I was expecting much worse. Though I still won't feel safe in their decision making when it is prefaced by, "Ok! Let's do this!"

What's Happening.?

What that do?

If I hear that question asked once per day I hear it asked 100x per day. kaylee is just anxious to learn and be in the know. She asks me questions about what is going on during the day all day long- it is so wonderful to hear and see her being engaged in the life surrounding her, though sometimes it gets frustrating answering the same question over and over again.

Other favorite daily questions:
What she do Momma?
What happened? Momma, what happened?
Where we go today?
Who is coming over?
Why her crying? Or Yee-Yee why you crying?

And by the time I answer all those questions one of the others may have the opportunity to get a word in :)
